Who We Are:
The Saginaw Education Association is a self-governing education association, representing about 500 teachers with the Saginaw Public School District.
Together with the Michigan Education Association and the National Education Association we work to provide safe working environments, competitive wages, and protect the rights of teachers.

2025-2028 Contract Wins
The SEA bargaining team was able to successfully negotiate the following in our 2025-2028 contract:
■ One of the highest pay scale in the area
■ An off schedule bonus when the district fund balance is above 20%
■ Kept MESSA insurance
■ Added one additional bereavement days per year - 3 total
■ Increased overload pay
■ Smaller class sizes for K-3
■ An incentive for teachers
■ Negotiated prohibited language back into our contract
■ Payroll deduction for dues
■ Improved professional rights
Meeting Structure
■ Executive Board: meets monthly August-June
■ Representative Council: meets monthly September- May
■ General Membership Meetings held 2-3 times per year
