2022-2025 Contract Wins

The SEA bargaining team was able to successfully negotiate the following in our 2022-2025 contract:

■ The highest pay scale in the area

■ An off schedule bonus when the district fund balance is above 20%

■ Kept MESSA insurance and reduced our share of the premium

■ Added two bereavement days per year

■ Increased pay for any overloaded elementary classrooms

■ Overload pay will begin earlier for secondary and elementary

■ Added an attendance incentive for teachers

Meeting Structure

■ Executive Board - meets monthly

■ Representative Council - (comprised of the Executive Board and Building Representatives) meets 6-7 times per year

■ General Membership Meetings held 2-3 times per year

Opportunities to be Involved

■ Make decisions that benefit the membership and teaching profession

■ Attend events

■ Attend general membership meetings

■ Join committees

■ Become a building representative

■ Become a member of the executive board
